Abstract
This article analyzes the proposal of the Federación de Asociaciones Católicas de Empleadas (FACE), an institution headed by Bishop Miguel de Andrea, of women ´s work, from its origins until the confrontation with Peronist government. From the analysis of periodicals, I argue that the FACE constructed a notion of women's work, based on its uniqueness that legitimized unequal work practices as well as social integration through multiple social services offered to its members
